VFW Checkpoint
November/December 2020

Your Checkpoint newsletter has arrived!

We invite you to take this opportunity to see what other Posts around the world are doing to better their communities. Be sure to share the valuable information you get here with your fellow VFW members. Post 936 in Minnesota commissioned a mural on its Post home. In Gladstone, Mo., Post 10906 posthumously recognized a Marine who died in Japan while saving the lives of his fellow Marines caught in a riptide. Children in Manchester, Tenn., vied for the chance to get a VFW-issued Young American Award from Post 10904 during the town’s “Old-Timer’s Day” in October. VFW’s National Chaplain writes about the gift of inspiration during this holiday season.

Be sure to let us know what you are doing in your community. We always are looking to promote the great efforts of VFW. Email jdyhouse@vfw.org your suggestion, and you just might see it in an upcoming issue of Checkpoint.
